Beaches Autism Friendly Family Vacations

Beaches Resort is a luxury included vacation for everyone. Beaches has three locations in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Negril, Jamaica; and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Now let’s see why Beaches is one of the first Autism Friendly Family Vacations you and your family can take, with ease and without worry.

Certified Kids Camp at Beaches Resort

Beaches has a special needs program and within the Kids Camps Program each team members has the requisite knowledge, skills, temperament, and expertise to cater to all children, including those with Autism and other special needs, and offer age-specific programs for infants, toddlers, pre-teens and teens. You can request a One-on-One Beaches Buddy to be with your child for your entire stay or just for a few hours, including during Kids Camp hours and afterhours in a sensory-friendly location of your choice.

Certified Nannies & Kids Camps Staffers

All nannies and Kids Camp staffers at Beaches Resorts are members of the International Nanny Association, America’s oldest and largest in-home child care association. To become accredited, each nanny must meet the minimum requirement of 2,000 hours of child-care services. Additionally, our nannies have been trained in safety, nutrition and child development.

Beaches Resorts is proud to be the first resort company in the world to complete the rigorous International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) training and Autism Certification! Our Kids Camps and our team members are proud to offer families with children with autism and other special needs specialized service and engaging activities so that all families may enjoy a memorable, award-winning Beaches Luxury Included® experience.

All childcare staff receives training in the following competency areas: Sensory Awareness, Motor Skills, Autism Overview, Program Development, Social Skills, Communication, Environment, Emotional Awareness and Bullying.

#SeeAmazing

Beaches welcomes to their resort Julia – a sweet and curious 4-year-old with Autism. As part of Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children, Julia is excited to welcome all children and their families to paradise with engaging activities like Amazing Art with Julia and enjoyable character experiences with them in mind.

Meal Time

Because meal time can be sometimes challenging for someone on the spectrum, the Culinary Concierge at Beaches will guide you through all the restaurant and dining options. They will help you to create custom menus that fit your family’s special dietary needs – including allergy restrictions and gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Beaches offers up to 20 distinct 5-Star Global Gourmet restaurants per resort and a Culinary Concierge Desk that works directly with executive chefs, sous chefs, and restaurant managers to ensure an exceptional and worry-free dining experience for your entire family.
